What would be your 'WOW' moment?
2 Days - 1 Night Selous Game Reserve
The Selous Game Reserve is one of the largest faunal reserves of the world, located in the south of Tanzania.
It was named after Englishman Sir Frederick Selous, a famous big game hunter and early conservationist, who died at Beho Beho in this territory in 1917 while fighting against the Germans during World War I.
The Selous was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1982 due to the diversity of its wildlife and undisturbed nature.
The reserve covers a total area of 54,600 km2 and has additional buffer zones. Within the reserve no permanent human habitation or permanent structures are permitted.
Some of the typical animals of the savanna (are African Bush Elephants, Black Rhino, Hippo, Lions, Wild Dogs, Cheetahs, Cape Buffaloes, Giraffes and Nile crocodiles) can be found in this park in larger numbers than in any other African game reserve or national park.
Parasailing
If you are looking for fun water sports and enjoy the amazing views of our island then fly with Parasailing. Fly alone or in-tandem as a couple and enjoy the experience together. If you like, get dipped in the water or come in to land completely dry.
The excursion will be around 35mins - 60mins including the boat-ride and each person flying for 10 to 12 minutes.
Menai Bay Sailing Trip
This full-day small group sailing excursion departs the fishing village of Fumba, for the Menai Bay conservation area aboard a traditional and locally made sailing dhow.
Enjoy a guided snorkel in the bay — home to uninhabited islands, sandbanks, fish as well as humpback and bottlenose dolphins — before digging into a great seafood lunch.
Then, join an experienced crew for a sail on a “ngalawa” or outrigger canoe (depending on the tide) made by hand from a single mango tree. The return journey will be by sail, if the wind permits.
Many other experiences available, these will incur an extra cost.
